Information, not advice

HTS Index republishes the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States and logs how it changes. It is provided for general information. It is not customs, legal or tax advice. Classifying goods is a judgement about what they are, and the duty that finally applies to a shipment depends on classification, origin, valuation, trade-remedy orders and exclusions. That is a licensed customs broker's work, and nothing here replaces it.

What the rates here do and do not include

The general, special and Column 2 rates shown are those published in the schedule. They do not include Section 301, Section 232, IEEPA or other additional duties, which live in Chapter 99 and depend on where goods were made. Where a line references Chapter 99 we say so, but we do not calculate a shipment's total duty and no page here should be read as doing so.

Accuracy

We show the date each page's data was last loaded. USITC revises the schedule fifteen to eighteen times a year and a revision can take effect before we have seen it. We make no warranty that any page is complete, accurate or current; the authoritative text is USITC's and the authoritative ruling on an entry is CBP's.

Use of the site

You may use the site for personal and business research. You may not scrape it at volume or republish substantial parts of it. Automated access is limited to reasonable rates. This does not restrict the underlying data, which is a work of the US Government and in the public domain — take it from USITC directly. Where we publish our own figures or charts under CC BY 4.0, that licence governs and nothing here takes it back.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ospan is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its content, including any duty, penalty or delay on an import entry. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places our liability is limited to the extent permitted.
